Day 19 - World Cruise 2025 (At Sea)

Friday, January 23, 2015

This is another day at sea. We are sailing towards Papeete, French Polynesia. Today we added another addition 1/2 hour. After breakfast I went to "Good Morning Amsterdam". Today the guest was David Pengelly who gave the previous nights show. He was a combination of an entertainer, singer & humorist. He also played the ukulele. One of the things that I learned was that about 20 people on the cruise that have over 1400 days. At the at 10 AM, I went to the talk by Paul Eschenfelder of what it is like to fly today. He talked about cramped seats, crowed cabins, and service. In the afternoon, I went to a talk by Tom Goltz on Paul Gauguin, a famous post-Impressionist French painter that spent his last years in Tahiti. For Tom Goltz and Paul Eschenfelder this was their last speech as they are leaving the ship at Papeete and new speakers will board the ship.

Before dinner Francis Diatschenko, a master guitarist gave a pre-dinner show at 7:30 PM. After dinner, Spencer Robson, a singer with songs, laughter & impersonations of the world's favorite singers gave the show this evening.
