Today was another day at sea. Location Guide Barbara presented the things to see & do in Santa Marta & San Blas Islands. She has been working for Holland America for over 20 years and has been on the
World Cruise for years. She gives a lot of information on the sites that we are going to visit. The next speaker was the return of Tom Goltz. He recounted the story of Che Guevara, the Cuban Revolution icon. In the afternoon the speaker was Captain Paul Eschenfelder. His talk presented how the French's audacity led to triumph at Suez. He continued to talk about the catastrophic of France on building a canal in Panama.
I spent the late afternoon trying to get the e-mail to work.
Tonight was the first formal night. We met at 7 PM for the Captain's Champagne Reception. He presented his team of managers for the cruise. At the dinner at 8 PM, we had a guest at our table. The guest was the ship's doctor and his wife. As a result we all had free wine.
