Today we are at sea heading toward Singapore. Today was the day that we again crossed the equator. For the rest of the cruise we will be north of the equator. When a Holland America Ship crosses the equator they have what is called King Neptune Ceremony. This took place today from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM. Selected members of the crew are given their rites, placed on a table and covered with a jello like substance and judged by the Captain and some of his staff. They are judged and if guilty they are pushed in the pool. At the end, the Captain and his staff also jumped in the pool. At 11 AM, I went to a meeting for my overnight tour called the Best of Bagan Temples to take place on March 10th and March 11th. At 2 PM I went to a talk by George Sranko about the myths and realities of creatures that dwell in the Land of Dragons.
Tonight was a formal night and the show was put on by Metro. This was their second show. They are from the USA but now live in Hong Kong. They sang several Chinese songs.
