Today the ship arrived in Cartagena, Spain at about 10 AM. I took some pictures coming into the port and at 10 PM I left on a tour called "Murcia & Fuensanta Monastery". On the way to Murcia we saw many fruit orchards and vegetable farms. Our first stop was at the Monastery of the Virgin of Fuensanta. This Monastery is located on the hill looking over the town of Murcia. We had a great view of the city. We did not go in the Monastery but we entered the church and we could take some pictures. We left the Monastery and drove down the hill and into the town. We left the bus in front of the town hall and walked to the St. Mary Cathedral, a 14th century Cathedral. We walked around the outside of the Cathedral and when the guide checked, a service was going on inside the Cathedral so we walked to the Casino de Murcia, an eclectic building whose original purpose was not gambling but rather a meeting place for Murcia's high society. We toured the building and walked back to the Cathedral and toured the Cathedral. We had some free time near the Cathedral and we then walked to the bus in front of the town hall and headed back to the ship. We arrived back at the ship at about 2:30 PM. At about 6 PM the ship left Categena, Spain.
That evening after dinner the show was put on by Nestor Torres, a Grammy Award Winning Flautist.
