The ship spent the night at Nuku'Alofa, Tonga. I got up and ate breakfast and left the ship for a walking tour of Nuku'Alofa, Tonga. In Tonga, they do not offer any tours on Sunday, there are no shops and other businesses open. In Tonga, Sundays are reserved for Church and Family. I walked into town and walked to the Centenary Church. The church is called the Free Wesley Church and is a Methodist Church. I was not dressed for church but I went in right before the service started at 10 AM. The church is a large church and the singing was the best I have ever heard at any church but of course I could not understand the words because it was in their native language but some of the music was familiar. The minister did include some English in his sermon. Holy Communion was celebrated. There were many people from our ship and the additional ship at the service. The service lasted over 1 1/2 Hours and after the service I walked around town and took some pictures.
When I got back to the ship I took some more pictures and at 4:30 PM, I went to the Interdenominational Service on the ship. Because our time in now ahead of the time in the USA, the Super Bowl is not today but on the 2nd of February. The ship did have an All American Tailgate BBQ as preparation for the Super Bowl. After the party, I went to a spotlight performance put on by Elliot Finkel. He played classical music on the piano. Next was the second show put on by Divas 3, who are 3 women singers who sang music from the 1960's to the 1990's.
