Today the ship spent the night in the harbor at Fremantle. At 8:30 AM I left on a tour called "Perth & Fremantle Highlights". The tour started with a drive through historic Fremantle, past the Western Australian Maritime Museum, which houses some of the most iconic vessels from the state's maritime history and the Fremantle Prison. The prison was the first permanent building in the colony. We left Fremantle and headed to Perth. Our first stop was at Kings Park Botanic garden. Kings park has just shy of 1,000 acres of bushland and parklands and overlooks the Perth central business district and the Swan River. At the Botanic garden is the State War Memorial. We left the garden and had a tour of the main area of Perth and then headed back to Fremantle with a scenic stop at Cottesloe Beach before returning to the ship.
After dinner the show was put on by Annie Gong. Annie is one of the finest modern accordionists.
Below are picture of the second day in Fremantle and my tour to Perth.
