The day began at the Renaissance Plantation Hotel. One of my bags was picked up in my room and I would not see it until I got on the ship. Cruise Specialists had four busses to take us to the ship. My bus was the last bus and it was scheduled to leave at 10:30 AM. We got on the bus and the bus left at 10:45 AM. We were at the Cruise Terminal by 11 AM. Now began the process to get on the ship. We went thru security and then waited in line for 1 hour and 15 minutes to check in. At a little past noon I was on the ship. I had not eaten anything that mourning so I went to the Lido Restaurant for lunch. After lunch I took my camera and went to the top deck to take some pictures of the Port Everglades Cruise Port at Ft. Lauderdale. This was my forth time on the ms Amsterdam so I was familiar with the ship. I returned to the ship to unpack my carry-on. I had two bags sent to the shipped from Wichita and one bag that were shipped from the hotel. One bag arrived in the middle of the afternoon and the other did not come until about 6 PM. At 5:30 PM I went to dinner and when I returned I unpacked the bags. At 9:30 PM the ship had a Bon Voyage Sail Away party until 1:30 PM. The drinks were complimentary and they also had some snacks. Music was played by the Amsterdam Orchestra. During the party the ship left at 10 PM. After the party I went back to my room and went to bed.
